Medical Director - Dr. Ragan Brackett
Dr. Ragan Brackett is a dual board-certified Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine physician. She earned her MD from Indiana University School of Medicine (2014) after graduating from Brown University, where she was a Division I Ivy League athlete with All-Ivy Academic honors, studying Biology and Bioengineering. She holds an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
Dr. Brackett is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, with a focus on integrative and functional medicine, preventative care, and holistic treatment approaches. She currently leads public health outreach programs at the Marion County Public Health Department and serves as founder and Medical Director of Gem Science, a private practice focused on obesity and functional medicine.
Operations Senior Advisor - Tina Shah
Tina is a dynamic leader with over 15 years of experience spanning clinical research, defense contracting, and healthcare consulting. As Managing Director of MedSpan Clinical Rotations, she brings deep expertise in proposal development, operations, and cross-functional team leadership to scale high-quality clinical education experiences for third-year medical students.
With a foundation in finance and operations, Tina has transformed proposal and contract management teams at leading firms such as Raytheon, Cardinal Health, and ResearchPoint Global. She now channels that operational rigor and process innovation into MedSpan’s mission: expanding access to clinical rotations through strong physician partnerships, student-centered planning, and systematized placement logistics.

Janak Patel serves as Partner and Advisor to MedSpan Clinical Rotations, supporting the company’s long term strategy, institutional relationships, and scalable hub development model. Drawing on a background in real estate development, structured finance, and growth strategy, he advises leadership on growth strategy, partnership development, and operational design.
